Sol Plaatjie Residence provides lodging for 220 students (male and female) on the Mahikeng Campus of the NWU.

There are 220 single rooms, each of which has a bed and desk with a chair and cupboard. There is also internet connectivity.

- Bathrooms: There are four showers per block of 10 rooms.
- Kitchens: There is one common kitchen per block of 10 rooms.
