In accordance with paragraph 6 of the Institutional Rules on Student Governance (2025), the following updated schedule for the 2025 SCC and SRC: DSO election is hereby published (05 August 2025) to the student community of the North-West University. Students are requested to familiarize themselves with the content thereof, taking note of the relevant dates indicated for each phase of the process.

Registration of Student Support Groups

In accordance with paragprah 10.4 of the Institutional Rules on Student Governance, Student Support Groups are required to register with the ISEC. Student Support groups have opportunity until 25 July 2025 at 15:00 to register with the ISEC via the online form and template provided below. 

 

 

Independent Students’ Electoral Commission (ISEC)

 The Independent Students’ Electoral Commission (ISEC) is established to oversee a free and fair election of the SCCs and the SRC Distance Students’ Officer (SRC DSO), and to ensure the validity, integrity and transparency of the electoral process. The ISEC is comprised of the following members:
