Kitchens

Klawerhof features six kitchens where residents can showcase their cooking skills. Each kitchen has a double basin and a workstation that can be used to cook with power points on the wall.

Rooms

Klawerhof offers a variety of room types, including single, house committee, and double rooms. First-year students are assigned to double rooms in accordance with NWU Potchefstroom campus regulations. This approach is beneficial as it pairs first-years with roommates based on personality analyses, ensuring compatibility.

All rooms are standard and contain the following: 2 desks, 2 chairs, 2 bookshelves, 2 bed bases with matrasses, 2 cupboards, 1 notice boards, 1 heater and blinds in front of the window.

Bathrooms

Klawerhof is equipped with many bathrooms, each having toilets, showers, basins and baths.

Corridors

Klawerhof features six corridors: Aricia, Savanna, Amarante, Shantey, Cassia, and Kiara. These corridors compete for the title of Corridor of the Year, fostering a spirit of friendly rivalry among them.

Additional facilities

There are also two laundry rooms, each equipped with two washing machines and dryers, available 24/7 at no cost to residents.

The Douglas serves as the hub for residence meetings and social events, while the Gizellie offers a cozy space to relax, catch up with friends, or enjoy performances by our talented pianists in the residence. We also have a computer room as well as a TV room where ladies come together to socialise. The garden, known as the Kuiertuin, is one of Klawerhof’s main attractions, providing a serene spot to unwind after a long day of classes.
