At Minjonet, we take pride in providing some of the biggest rooms on the NWU Potchefstroom campus. Our commitment to creating a comfortable living environment ensures that each lady's time spent here is truly enjoyable. We offer single rooms, double rooms and flats.
Double Rooms
Our double rooms are comfortably spacious, offering a layout that prioritizes both space and functionality. A separating wall has been meticulously incorporated to guarantee the privacy of each resident. This design element allows for a harmonious living experience, where residents can enjoy the company of a roommate while still maintaining their personal space. Each resident in a double room has designated space for a personal fridge and microwave, ensuring convenience and independence.
Single Rooms
Minjonet offers single rooms exclusively for those in their second year and beyond. These rooms provide an ideal setting for more independent living, allowing residents to enjoy their own space while still being part of the vibrant Minjonet community. Each single room is equipped with space for a personal fridge and microwave, giving residents the freedom to store and prepare their meals at their convenience.
Bathrooms
We prioritize your comfort and well-being, and our bathroom facilities are designed with this commitment in mind. Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is our top priority. Our bathroom facilities are regularly cleaned and well-maintained to ensure a pristine environment for every resident. There are 16 bathrooms (1 on each corridor wing). Each bathroom is equipped with 5 basins, 2 showers, 5 toilets and a bathtub.
Kitchens
Each corridor is thoughtfully equipped with two modern kitchens, ensuring that there's always a space available for you to prepare your favourite meals or grab a quick coffee. Each kitchen is furnished with a hot water dispenser and a water filter at each sink, providing added convenience and ensuring access to clean drinking water and hot water whenever you need it.
Laundry Rooms
Every corridor is equipped with a laundry room. Our laundry rooms are designed to make the task of maintaining your wardrobe a hassle-free experience. Each laundry room is equipped with a washing machine, a washing basin, a tumble dryer, an ironing station, and several drying racks, ensuring that all your laundry needs are conveniently met.

Beyond our spacious and well-designed rooms, Minjonet Residence is equipped with facilities to enrich the overall living experience.
- Lifts: Navigating your way through Minjonet Residence is made even more convenient with our two modern elevators. These elevators are equipped with a secure access system that requires the use of your student card, ensuring that only residents may access them.
- Dining Hall: We are privileged to have one of the four university dining halls situated in Minjonet. You can enjoy the convenience of having nutritious and tasty meals just steps away from your living space.
- Bee Square - Braai area: Bee Square is Minjonet’s outdoor braai and recreational area, serving as a community gathering point for both impromptu meetups and planned events. This outdoor space provides residents with a safe place to relax, socialize, and enjoy the outdoors within the secure confines of the residence.
- Computer Room: Our computer room has six computers with unlimited internet access and is available 24/7 for all residents. This provides a convenient and safe space for studying, research, and completing assignments at any time of the day or night.
- Bicycle Shed: We offer a secure bicycle shed where residents can safely store their bikes or scooters.
- Corridor Lounge: Each corridor features a comfortable lounge area. These lounges are perfect for corridor meetings, relaxing, socializing with fellow residents, or even holding study groups. The corridor lounges provide a cosy space to unwind and connect with the Minjonet community.
