The preliminary list of elected SCC members and the SRC: Distance Students’ Officer has been published. A period of objections on the preliminary list will commence on 26 August (14:00) and conclude on 29 August 2022 (14:00).

The voting period for the 2022 SCC and SRC: Distance Students’ Officer (DSO) Elections will occur as follows:

Voting commences: 22 August 2022 at 12:00
Voting concludes: 25 August 2022 at 10:00


Students are reminded to cast their votes during the voting period.

Notice on the extension of the nomination period for the nomination of students to be elected as members of the Students' Campus Councils (SCCs) and as the SRC: Distance Students' Officer

In accordance with paragraph 26(3) of the NWU Statute and paragraph 9 of the Institutional Rules on Student Governance (2021) the process for the nomination and election of the 2022/2023 SCCs on all three campuses of the NWU and the SRC: Distance Students’ Officer commenced at 08:00 on 19 July 2022.

As part of ensuring the completion of an electoral process that is free, fair, and transparent, and after consultation with the SRC, students are hereby informed that the nomination period has been extended and will close at 15:00 on 28 July 2022.
