Isaac Joffe Fellowship Bursary Scheme
A family company, which has always valued its self-reliance. Cape Gate (Pty) Ltd has, through vertical integration, grown from a small wire netting manufacturing company in 1962 to a major producer of wire and steel products. The factory is located in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng.
Objectives and Scope of the Bursary Scheme
The objectives of the bursary scheme are to provide educational assistance for prospective candidates studying towards an Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering degree. The scheme shall provide bursaries ONLY for 2 year B. Eng (2025) students at approved universities in South Africa for Electronic/Electrical Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering.

Erwin Robert Balde Bursary Scheme

Objectives and Scope of the Bursary Scheme
The objectives of the bursary scheme are to provide educational assistance for prospective candidates studying towards a B. Com (CA stream) degree up to Honours level. The scheme shall provide bursaries ONLY for 1 B. Com (2025) students at approved universities in South Africa.
Extent of assistance
- The value of bursaries will be defined from time to time, and will be based on the cost of:
- Full tertiary registration and tuition costs,
- Residence fees that include meals, or if the bursar chooses to live privately, a generous living out allowance,
- Book allowance,
- A personal allowance for the period that the bursar is at the tertiary institution,
- A once-off computer allowance.
Bursary Allocation Criteria
- Bursaries will be allocated on the basis of a balanced consideration of the following factors:
- Academic performance - Applicants will be granted a bursary to study at a University only if he/she obtains at least an average mark of 65%, with Mathematics above 70% in matric (2024),
- Financial need,
- No current financial assistance! (Only non-funded applicants will be eligible for consideration)
- A selection process include interviews.

SUGAR INDUSTRY TRUST FUND FOR EDUCATION (SITFE) BURSARIES 2025
Who can apply?
SITFE invites the “missing middle” students who have applied or are registered at any South African public University or University of Technology to apply for the 2025 SITFE bursary.
Applicants must be:
- Registered or have applied in the Faculties of Science, Engineering or Agriculture at a University, University of Technology or College of Agriculture.
- “Missing Middle” applicants whose family combined income is between R350 000 to R600 000 from sugarcane growing areas, where mills and sugar industry administrative infrastructure are located.
- Preference will be given to first years.
- The child of a sugarcane farm worker may register or apply for any field of study at a University, University of Technology or College of Agriculture.

Clicks Foundation Bursary 2025
Clicks Foundation has opened their 2025 bursary intake.
Requirements:
- South African Citizen
- 2 – 4th year pharmacy students
- 2ND or 3rd year students in the fields of Information Systems, Information Technology, Retail Business Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Supply Chain/Logistics and Industrial Engineering.
- 65% average
Not be in possession of any other bursary/funding.

KN Inzuzo Trust Bursary Applications Now Open for the 2025 Academic Year
This bursary is open to Black South African women who are in financial need and currently enrolled in their second year, third year, or postgraduate studies.
Preferred fields of study:
- Bachelor of Commerce in Logistics
- Diploma in Logistics Management
- Bachelor of Commerce in Transport Economics
- Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting
- Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management
- Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems
- You must have been accepted to study towards a full-time qualification.
- A record of accomplishment for academic excellence, evidenced by a minimum 60% average in the students’ most recent year of study.
- Strong leadership capability, demonstrated through active school, university or community engagement.
- Demonstrable financial need.
- The Trust encourages students will disabilities to apply.
- Sudents seeking funding for the 1st year of study will not be considered.

Corteva Agriscience Bursary Program
Corteva Agriscience South Africa invites students to apply for bursary funding for the 2025 academic year for studies towards Agricultural qualifications (undergraduates or postgraduate). Bursaries are awarded each year to full-time students.
The bursary will be a maximum value of R95,000 per annum for undergraduate students and R125,000 for postgraduate students and should be used to pay for full tuition fees, textbooks, accommodation including university accredited residence, and research costs.
Bursaries will be paid directly to the student’s tertiary institution account. Shortlisted applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications by no later than 31 October 2024. If you do not receive feedback by the 20th of December 2024, please regard your application as unsuccessful.

Standard Bank is offering students an opportunity to get a Student Loan Without Surety – meaning you do not require a guardian or parent to be able to take up this loan. We understand that it may be stressful looking for funding, and that is why you need a bank that backs you.
Minimum Criteria
- You must be a South African citizen.
- Your Gross Household Income must be less than R600 000 per annum.
- 3rd Year students and upwards within Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematic, Commerce, Health Sciences and 5th Year students in Medicine.
- Open to existing Standard Bank Transactional Account holders. You may apply for one using our digital and other banking channels if you don’t have one
- Study at one of our participating universities
How does it work?
- The loan maximum is R120 000 per annum, which can be used to cover tuition, accommodation, books and study equipment.
- There is no expectation of repayment on the loan while you are studying. However, you will be expected to start repaying the loan six months after completing your studies or as soon as you secure employment. Of course, it will be to your advantage to reduce your balance by making some payments while studying.
- Monthly interest and service fees will be charged from the loan’s inception and will be added to the outstanding balance.
- This loan can cover your existing university student debt up to R80 000 for each previous year that may be preventing you from completing your studies
- Competitive interest rates apply.
