Türkiye Scholarships considers everything that international students will need during their academic studies while discovering Türkiye and acquiring new skills.
Provides university and department placements unlike other higher education scholarship programs.

- Allows you to learn the language of the country with 1-year Turkish language course. Thus, resources are diversified in your academic research and daily life becomes more pleasurable.
- Provides accommodation for students arriving in a new country.
- Supports you on your journey to Turkey and when you return to your country at the end of your education period, covers your once-off flight ticket.
- Allows you to take full advantage of widespread health services when necessary with health insurance.
- Also provides monthly stipend. 4.500 TL at Associate’s and Bachelor’s levels, 6.500 TL at Master's level and 9.000 TL at PhD level per month.

Gauteng City Region Academy (GCRA) 2025 Bursary Applications
Closing Date: 28-February-2025
GCRA is responsible for building a pool of skilled, capable and ethical workforce for the Gauteng City Region. This is done through different interventions, i.e., bursaries, internships, learnerships, skills programmes, etc.
The GCRA bursary programme is open to all qualifying youth, with particular preference given to youth from Gauteng, who wish to study for an undergraduate and/or post-graduate programme at an accredited and registered Post School Education and Training institution in South Africa. The bursary covers full cost of study, with conditions, as stipulated in the bursary contract.
Applications Are Open For Following:
- Students who completed matric and reside in Gauteng - Proof of residence required
- Students intending to study an undergraduate programme and have been accepted at an accredited PSET institution of learning and/or is currently registered for such.
- Students who want to pursue Post-Graduate studies and have been accepted at an accredited institution of higher learning

Mike Brown Scholarship
The Mike Brown Scholarship addresses South Africa's critical shortage of skilled professionals by focusing on postgraduate qualifications towards the attainment of scarce and critical skills such as information technology, engineering, and healthcare. These competencies are essential for the nation's economic growth and global competitiveness. The scholarship aims to produce highly qualified graduates who can drive innovation and progress in key sectors, fostering the country's overall development. Applicants are encouraged to apply and contribute to shaping South Africa's future.
The scholarship provides comprehensive financial support covering the following:
- Tuition fees.

Nurturing Emerging Scholars Programme (NESP)
The Department of Higher Education and Training is pleased to announce the implementation of Phase 2 of the Nurturing Emerging Scholars Programme (NESP). The NESP is a three-year programme that includes a 2 year Master's scholarship followed immediately by a 1-year academic internship at a recruiting South African university.
Honours
There are a total of 18 NESP positions available, and these positions come with scholarships specifically designed for Honours study at South African public universities.
This programme spans four years and includes a one-year- Honours program, followed by a two-year master’s scholarship, along with a one-year academic internship at the host South African university.
To be eligible for any of these positions, the minimum requirement is a completed Level 7 qualification with a minimum of 65% average.
Masters
There are a total of 68 NESP positions available, each of which a scholarship for master’s study at South African public universities. Additionally, successful candidates will be required to complete a one-year academic internship at the host South African university.
To be eligible for any of the NESP scholarships, the minimum requirement is a completed appropriate Level 7 (for NESP Honours scholarship) or Level 8 (NESP French and National scholarship) with a minimum 65% grade average.

Thermo Fisher Scientific Phambili Trust
The Thermo Fisher Scientific Phambili Trust, established by LTC Tech SA is a Broad-Based Ownership Scheme and aims to contribute towards the development and empowerment of Black students by providing academic support in the form of bursaries to afford them educational enrichment.
Eligibility and selection criteria
To be eligible for consideration for the bursary, applicants must be:
- Black people as defined in the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice.
- From an economically disadvantaged background and demonstrate financial need.
- Pursuing further studies or obtaining skills in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields at a South African tertiary institution.
- Below the age of 35.

Standard Bank Student Loan Offers

Standard Bank is offering students an opportunity to get a Student Loan Without Surety – meaning you do not require a guardian or parent to be able to take up this loan. We understand that it may be stressful looking for funding, and that is why you need a bank that backs you.
Minimum Criteria
- You must be a South African citizen.
- Your Gross Household Income must be less than R600 000 per annum.
- 3rd Year students and upwards within Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematic, Commerce, Health Sciences and 5th Year students in Medicine.
- Open to existing Standard Bank Transactional Account holders. You may apply for one using our digital and other banking channels if you don’t have one
- Study at one of our participating universities
How does it work?
- The loan maximum is R120 000 per annum, which can be used to cover tuition, accommodation, books and study equipment.
- There is no expectation of repayment on the loan while you are studying. However, you will be expected to start repaying the loan six months after completing your studies or as soon as you secure employment. Of course, it will be to your advantage to reduce your balance by making some payments while studying.
- Monthly interest and service fees will be charged from the loan’s inception and will be added to the outstanding balance.
- This loan can cover your existing university student debt up to R80 000 for each previous year that may be preventing you from completing your studies
- Competitive interest rates apply.
