How do I accept the final offer?

To accept the final offer, log in to your application profile and accept the offer to proceed. Please note: you cannot accept your final offer unless your Financial Undertaking form has been uploaded to the application portal and/or approved by the Finance Department.

Are late registrations allowed?

No, late registrations will not be accepted.

When can I register?

Registration opens on 19 January for first-year students and 26 January for senior students.

Registration for senior students will open according to the staggered registration dates for each faculty. To find the registration date for your faculty, visit: https://studies.nwu.ac.za/studies/registration.

Where do I register?

Register on the Student Portal only after you have paid your minimum payable fees.

Why can’t I log into the Student Portal?

Log on to the Student Portal with universitynumber@mysis-nwu.ac.za. It is essential to follow this format precisely. Do not attempt to log in with other Microsoft accounts (e.g., @mynwu.ac.za), as this will prevent access. login username, which should contain “mysis-nwu.ac.za”.

If the issue persists, clear your browser history and restart your computer or mobile device.

Do not open multiple instances of the Student Portal on a single screen or device, as it may remember your previous login, causing issues. Always sign out by clicking the user icon at the top of the Student Portal before logging in again.

How can I register as an NSFAS student?

NSFAS students should ensure that their funding has been approved by NSFAS and sign the Acknowledgement of Debt (AOD) where applicable. For payment arrangements, contact the Debt Collection Department and upload bursary and loan letters onto the Student Portal.

Where will I receive registration status?

Your registration status is displayed on the Student Portal dashboard when you log in, as well as on the registration portal.

How can I transfer my credits from a previous programme?

Log in to the Student Portal, click on “Academics,” and select “Transfer Credits.” From there, you can add any completed courses (modules) that are relevant to the qualification you are studying.

How to retrieve your academic record?

Log on to the Student Portal. Click on “Academics” > “Academic Record” to find and download your “Unofficial Transcript”.
